The majority of men don’t have 15 minutes on weekday mornings to stare in front of an image to shave. I certainly may! Shaving for me every other morning should never take more than two minutes associated with my time. I’m a man usually on the run…. busy life filled with conferences…. places to go and people to meet…. kids to drop off at school…. extremely Dad with a career. So I must get in and get out of the bathroom every morning as fast as I can or the pre-school slaps me with a ridiculous $10 charge every time I drop off my child late!
Here are my simple waxing tips on how to get the closest and best shave possible in under two mins time:
Shaving Tips #1: Pre-Shave
The purpose of a pre-shave product is in order to smooth and condition your skin just before shaving. What’s shocking is that the majority of men do not use a pre-shave item during their daily shaving routine.
Utilize a pre-shave lotion always! Why? Your own razor blade likes smooth pores and skin. It glides easier on it. This cuts your hair closer to the hair foillicle giving you the desired close shave. It also softens and conditions your facial beard making it easier to cut. And it provides a secondary protection layer against the harmful effects of the blade scraping your skin helping to prevent shaving nicks and cuts. You get all these benefits and it also only takes 10 seconds to use if you are in a hurry. For those men who have more testosterone than I do plus shave twice a day, a pre-shave lotion/serum will definitely help get you a better shave so that you may only need to shave once a day.
I don’t like any such thing oily on my skin therefore i would not recommend a pre-shave essential oil as some hard core wet shavers use religiously. I prefer to use a non-oily pre-shave lotion/serum. The best pre-shave product I have found so far that meets the specific needs is a “pre-shave serum”. Not many brands offer such an item but I can only imagine that many more will in the near future. Pre-shave serums are quite hard on the wallet but it works miracles and is worth every penny! My skin is instantly taut and soft after the serum is instantly absorbed into my skin making it an ideal environment for my razor blade.
Shaving Tips #2: Shave Lotion
I know using an electric shaver will get you the quickest shave possible. Nevertheless it definitely does not offer you the best skin and shaving results afterwards. Your skin tends to be roughed up because no lubrication is used between the shaver and your skin, and you just can’t cut the hair as close as a razor blade gliding on a slick cream can.
Use a shave cream and never a shave gel. Shave gels tend to have too many air pockets inside it. Air pockets do not offer any skin protection from your blade. Think of your blade gliding over air pockets and not over a protective cream layer. Here’s more information regarding reddit.com look at our own web site.
Shave creams have considerably less air pockets included and thus offer a more slicker protective coverage against your razor-sharp blade. Harmful skin redness present after shaving is usually a result of using a poor shave cream/gel/soap or using exorbitant pressure on the razor when shaving.
Work with a non-lathering cream. Trying to beat the clock each morning, I don’t have the blissful luxury of spending 5 minutes to create a lather with a silvertip badger shaving brush. Plus lather is just a whipped up shave cream with too many air pockets inside. This is another subject that I am going to like to dwell on in another article.
Shaving Tips #3: Post-Shave
You don’t just walk away after you wipe off the excess shave cream from your own face when you are done shaving. I am the most important part of the shaving ritual is definitely maintaining your skin’s vibrancy and elasticity post-shave. That is why Shaving Word of advice #3 is the most important to me.
Find a non-greasy aftershave balm that has ingredients which can battle inflammation caused by the rigors with the shaving process and ones that will also hydrate and restore skin to a healthy and glowing point out. Some great natural effective ingredients to look for within an aftershave balm are Witch Hazel — helps shrink and contract arteries and back to normal size when inflamed — and Shea Butter — provides anti-inflammatory and emollient properties. Make sure also to use a product that does not block up your pores. I tend to find that junk aftershave balms do just that so I often avoid those. It’s best also to never use a post-shave product with alcoholic beverages or fragrance as these ingredients simply dry out your skin.
Shaving can be a nuisance but if you just follow these three or more shaving tips, you can be out of the rest room in just under two minutes having glowing skin and a super near shave. Yes, I can spend 5 to ten minutes more at my shaving routine to get the perfect shave like incorporating a toner, an exfoliant, and a silvertip badger tresses brush, but that’s only for myself on the weekends and when time is not really a factor each morning. But for now, provided that my son is at school by the due date and my skin is experiencing buttery soft in just under a couple minutes, I couldn’t ask for even more!
